GENERAL INSTALLATION PROCEDURE FOR LINUX USERS The installation of all Linux should be the same. Since Sun made Java almost open source, Linux distros now come with Java pre-installed. If for some reasons you need to update your Java please see your distros site. or google the net.
i) Unzip JIPXt.zip into a directory example create a directory called "JIPXt". and unzip the JipXt file with the “Archiver tool” into this directory. ii)You can also right click on the Jip zip file and choose open with archiver. Then extract it to a directoy JIPXt.
ii) In the Jip Folder you will find a sub folder "guide" under guide another sub folder Linux. Copy one of the files either JipXt.sh or JipXt.bat in the folder Linux into the Jip sub directory “bin”. You can also copy both files into the JipXt directory. you can find a way to let JIP start automatic.
GETTING STARTED
JIPXt is set to offline by default. Use either the gui version or console version to make the appropriate configuration. Then either run JIPXt cron or service version with minimal memory usage... bashiro Jan 2008
