GENERAL INSTALLATION PROCEDURE FOR UNIX USERS

PRE INSTALLATION
You must have Java runtime installed on your machine in order
to run any java application including Jip.
i)
Unzip JIPXt.zip (or JIp if you are downloading ordinary JIP) into a directory; example create a directory called "JIPXt" or “JIP”.
and unzip the JipXt file with the Archiver tool into this directory.

ii)                                                                              In the Jip Folder you will find a sub folder "guide" under guide another sub folder
Unix. Copy one of the files either JipXt.sh or JipXt.bat in the folder Unix into the Jip directory.
You can also copy both files into the JipXt sub directory “bin” if you are using ordinary JIP then just put the files in JIP directory.


HOW TO RUN JIP
Log in as a user and then
Start a new a new Console session change into JipXt directory and run JIPXt like this;

JipXt.sh or JipXt.bat
You can also create your own script.
